Dragon Age: Rise of the Runelords
Aldern is a handsome man, with medium-length brown hair and fair skin. He could often be seen wearing fine clothes befitting the aristocracy of Magnimar, whether hunting or carousing with women. Those who had the pleasure of conversing with Aldern typically found him charming, well-read and were often entertained by his seemingly endless cache of stories about the high life in Magnimar.
Sadly Aldern fell into something more dark then could overcome. Between living in a cursed manor, associating with a murderous cult, and coming under the influence of a diabolical Lamia, his fall may have been inevitable. Cursed to wonder the night as a undead. His spree of terror has came to an end were it begin, in foxglove manor, by the hands of his former friends. In death he finally found the acceptance he could never find in life.
After many years in Magnimar, Aldern decided it was time to reclaim his ancestral home, which had been abandoned after the tragic death of his parents. Although he has a small house in Sandpoint, and a townhouse in Magnimar, he spends a great deal of time at his family estate as well as a great deal of money in order to restore it to its former glory.
In the early months of 4707, Aldern took in a band of Varisians who were stranded in a terrible storm. Among them was the most beautiful women the young noble had ever seen, and completely smitten by her, Aldern proposed to Iesha that very night. The two were married within a week and their life together shows unparalleled promise.
Almost a year later, Aldern was present in Sandpoint for the Swallowtail Festival when the celebration was interrupted by a goblin attack. Fortunately he was saved by a group of grey wardens whom he later befriended as their exploits took them from local do-gooders to an almost celebrity hero status.
